Hey Guys ~ I think that this white one is holding too! I swear I did not put any viagra in my water!

I am not certain yet ....if she is I so cannot have ten gal tanks all over this house with holding Africans~

Im guessing I can not put her into the ten gal with the blue one? Has anyone ever had like more than one at a time holding? I really do not see why not ~

I am glad my Discus have not started.....

Thanks ~

Marie ~

I tend to agree with Pete, I don't think that fish is holding...unless there's only a couple eggs. Do you see her 'swishing' eggs or spitting out food or not eating? Congrats on the other spawns!

Marie, I don't believe it's holding, either. Something DOES look off with the mouth, but I think it's more of a deformity or possibility of crossbreeding.

What was it sold to you as?

I too have to agree with the above.

Are you sure that it's a female? I say this by seeing an eggspot. How old is it and what is it?

Furthermore,,,her? belly doesn't seem to flat, (empty).

Oh, and Marie, when you do have another female holding, it is not wise to house two holding females together in the same tank. It usually means a fight, and since they can't bite each other, they might lose their eggs or fry trying.

You can use a breeder net or get a tank divider. I prefer breeder nets, since the filtration can go kind of funky with a divider.
