Hi Klaus, just wondering how many times should tropheus be fed in a day?

I usually feed my other African Cichlids small portions twice a day. Will that work ok with the Tropheus? I found the small Nangus always have a full tummy, probably because they are eating algae all day long. I'm afraid they eat toooooo much!!

BTW, they take the small NLS pellets right away, no problem. Some of the Duboisi are eating NLS but couple of them still holding out for the flakes.

Happy fish keeping,

Casey, you do exactly the right thing. A small portion twice a day is great. I have to admit that I am too lazy to feed in the morning (I'm not a morning person). I feed once a day when I come home from work. The important thing in my experience is to stay with a routine. If mornings and evenings work for you, that is perfect. thumbsup.gif

It sounds like they are all doing well. grin.gif

I only feed mine in the morning...I am too lazy to do it when I get home from work! Besides that I have a bit of algae growing in the tank and they graze on that all day long.
